Between the 27th and the 31st of May, an intensive course “Art in public spaces” will take place in Paris 8 University. In this course students will have the chance to study the relationship between artworks and their environment.
Starting from the observation of historic and contemporary works – ranging from monuments to street art – we will question the different forms of dialogue between art and public space, including their urban, cultural and political context. Students are evaluated on the knowledge acquired during the lectures and walks and through a series of short readings. English B2 level is recommended.
We are looking for 13 3rd year BA or MA students from all ERUA Universities enrolled in Arts or Human Sciences who wish to engage in experimental work in research creation.
The working language of the intensive course will be English. The examination will be in the form of Participation/oral presentation /written homework.
As most of the sessions take place in the city, students are advised to plan their own local transportation tickets and to wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
