DESCRIPTION:Join the “Communicating in and about Sports” symposium on May 16-17, 2024, at Paris 8 University, in anticipation of the 2024 Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games. Some of the themes that the symposium will cover include:\n\nSports communication\nDiscourse analysis and genres\nSport metaphors\nSports in literature and popular culture\nDidactics aspects in teaching English for sports\nSports history and collective memories\nSport management\n\nThe conference is sponsored by ERUA (European Reform University Alliance), Université Paris 8 and the TransCrit Research Lab.\n \nRegistration is open to all participants, with no conference fees.
