SUMMARY:Training course: Collaborative Class-to-Class Virtual Exchange Design
DESCRIPTION:Following the first introductory training course on Virtual Exchange, the ERUA European University and UNICollaboration are offering an advanced 5-days online training course, Collaborative Class-to-Class Virtual Exchange Design, that will be held on 5th, 7th, 9th, 12th and 16th September from 09:00 to 13:00 CET. Synchronous activities will take place from 9.00 to 10.30 and from 11.30 to 13.00 each day, with asynchronous tasks assigned between the two synchronous time slots.\nThe course is tailored to the professors of the Alliance, and it is open to all teachers interested in developing a VE project with other ERUA colleagues.\nTelecollaboration and Virtual Exchange have become a very popular way for teachers across all subject areas to internationalise their classrooms and to give their students first-hand experience of intercultural communication, while using their digital skills.\nParticipants will understand the required steps to design and implement a successful class-to-class virtual exchange. The training will start with an explanation about the logistics, moving on to the learning objectives and required tasks to provide participants with all the digital and pedagogical tools needed to accomplish such objectives.\nDuring project-based sessions, teachers will also co-design their own VE in collaboration with colleagues from the other ERUA’s partner universities. Teachers who already have a partner will work together, for those who do not have a partner yet, suitable matches will be made between participants.\nTo ensure the smooth running of the training, participation in all five sessions is highly recommended.\nThe detailed programme will be available soon.\nParticipants who successfully complete the training will receive an Open Badge from UNICollaboration.\nPlease register here by 26th August 2022: https://forms.gle/uLj3niuaYTkvqe5u7 – Limited number of participants.\nFor the teachers who attended the course: Introduction to Virtual Exchange, participation in the first session is not compulsory.\nFor further information do not hesitate to contact Chloé Le Moal (chloe.le-moal@univ-paris8.fr).\n
