The course Legal English through Literary Fiction aims to introduce students to legal terminology in the wide- and wild- world context of literary fiction. The methodology touches upon Educational Drama through Scripted Role-Play, Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) and Learning English for Specific Purposes. The course offers spoken and written language practice to students from different subject areas who are interested to enrich their legal vocabulary, practice English, meet new people, learn and unlearn.
The successful completion of the course comprises three components:
1. Active participation in the on-site classes – role-plays, debates, discussions, games, oral presentations and legal interpretations.
2. Active participation in the online activities – 2 online classes, 2 tests and 2 written assignments.
3. Preliminary self-reading time – Reading List Course Materials.
