The University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC)

The University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC), is a public university with a wide range of qualifications in all major areas of knowledge, with the aim of providing comprehensive training based on innovation, quality and internationalization.

The ULPGC, founded in 1989, stands out in the use of new technologies, in research related to the marine science fields and tourism among others. Is distributed across six Campuses, three of which are located in the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria; one in the municipality of Arucas (Gran Canaria) and another two on the islands of Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.

The ULPGC has more than 20.000 students and 1,500 professors who carry out important research activity in 115 research groups.

The ULPGC seeks to lead, through its geostrategic position, a meeting point between Europe-Africa-Latin America. Project an attractive academic offer for neighboring countries in undergraduate, master’s and doctoral studies. Consolidate cooperation and transference in international research projects of mutual interest.
